Does this bookcase off gas chemicals?

Technically everything will off-gas when new (just like a new car or a pair of shoes), but this is real wood with no particle board and the factory uses waterbased low VOC finishes. It is made and finished in California. All products have to be compliant with strict CA guidelines for components and finishes. We also can "air out" in our warehouse for a period if you are sensitive to chemical smells.
