Burgundy Oak

Burgundy Oak was founded in 2015 by a young entrepreneur named Zac Hartley. Zac has, and always will be, a huge fan of smoked food. This love affair led Zac to create the first ever Wine Barrel Smoker at his cabin in Summerland, BC. It was so unique, the local news station in Calgary (CTV) took notice and wanted to do a segment on this eye-catching product. The night before the segment aired, Zac created a basic website with information on the smoker. To his amazement, he sold Five smokers overnight at $600 each! This was his Ah-Ha moment. In three short years, the four partners of Burgundy Oak have grown the company from a two car garage to now 14 employees and a 8300sq/ft manufacturing facility. Currently supplying more than 500 stores across Canada, the team is eager to continue their success. The team aired on Dragons Den October 11th, 2018 and knocked the pitch out of the park
