This item is stocked in Solid Rustic Walnut Wood with Natural Finish 10 degree sheen (matte finish) or special order the table of your choice. Table features two grain-matched 12" wide extension company boards with leaf locks. The buckle base is constructed of iron and solid walnut wood. Top features 1-5/8" thick live edge.

All metalwork is manufactured in-house at the Barkman facilities. Live edge and straight edge tables and company boards feature a steel stabalizer to prevent warping. Tables with company boards feature easy-to-open steel extension glides that support the weight of the leaf. These tables will also feature leaf locks to keep your company board in place. 

Wait! Get this: Company boards do not store in the tables. No need to hide them. They do look very cool leaning against the wall or in the corner of a room on display in your room. Show them off! They are truly beautiful. The other nice thing about company boards is you don't have to clean off the top of the table to add the extensions. You also don't have to lift or move the table to add extensions. Company boards are cut from the same top so the grains always match.

All wood finishes used by Barkman Furniture are classified as post-catalyst conversion varnishes. Barkman Furniture uses this kind of finish simply because it is the most durable finish available for use on fine hardwoods. It will resist moisture and damage from almost all household fluids, foods and chemicals. Even nail polish remover will not damage the product. Unlike a less costly lacquer-based product, which is softer and more susceptible to moisture damage, a catalyzed conversion varnish will provide durable protection for years.
