Solid Reclaimed Oak Wood Megan Banquette Corner Benches in Night Owl & Grey Washed Finish. We stock this item in Grey Washed finish with Night Owl fabric or special order other fabric. Includes Megan corner bench, 60" long bench and 30" long bench. Wood is finished in Grey wash. Bench setup can be reversed and benches do not attach to each other. Nest Home collections use a mixture of new and old wood which varies by region and most items are built from old doors and other building parts. Like other antiques, each piece is unique and this is what makes them so special. Normal characteristics include small cracks along grain lines, small holes in the woods, small areas of natural surface variations, irregular pattersm, blocking or stampes to replace holes left by hardware, knots in the grain, small cracks due to seasonal temperatures and humity variations and grain pattern variation. Slight variations in overall color are also a natural characteristic as each piece accepts stain differently.

Nest items should be treated like other wood -  using coasters or placemats to protect it. Nest items either have a wax finish or a light coating of lacuqer to protect the surface against spills and stians. If you spill a soda, or glass or red wine, as long as you wipe it up right way, it will not effect the wood. Daily cleaning can consist of wiping it down with a wet cloth. Two times a year, a mild cleaner/wood conditioner can be used to moisturize like Murphy's Oil Soap. Do not spray directly on the wood, always spray on a cloth first. A heavier lacquer or polyurethane can be applied to the surface, but will effect the natural look.
