San Marino Library Wall Bed with Bookshelf Storage Queen Size in Mocha Finish. We display this item in Mocha finish. Special order in other color. Side units sold separately. Choose alder wood or oak wood and color. This unique murphy bed hides behind a wall of bookcases. You can now store an extra bed in your home and also have plenty of storage for books and other sundry items. The mechanism is easy and light weight to operate. The swinging bookcases are so easy and smooth to open and close, your books will stay on the shelves. Side units priced separately. Side units are available in 24, 30 or 36" wide or in custom widths and can come open or with doors on the bottom section. Choose oak or alder wood and your choice of color.

Hi. The description says solid and plywood construction. Which parts are solid wood and which parts are plywood?

The face frames are solid wood. All the shelves, top and side panels are alder plywood. There is no particle board or MDF. It is very strong and plywood won't warp, peel or crack. This is made in California.

What are the dimensions?

The dimensions are found under the product images in the information tabs.

How does this incorporate baseboard in installation?

The rear bottom of the wallbed are notched to fit over most standard size baseboards so the wall bed will touch the wall.

Does the San Marino library wall bed come with a warranty?

Yes. The wall bed mechanism has a three year warranty against any manufacturing defect. The manufacturer offers a one year warranty on the finish (whatever color you choose) and a lifetime warranty on the wooden parts of the bed. Any warranty claims...

How deep are the shelves? Do they have to be two sided, or can you have a blank side and a deep front shelf?

The shelves are 7" deep. I am not sure i understand your question so you may need to call us and we can clarify. The shelves are not two-sided. The extra depth behind the shelving accommodates the mattress.

Does this unit need to be attached to the wall?

Yes, any wall bed needs to be professionally mounted to a wall for safety.

How wide is queen when opened?

When open, the unit is 102" wide x 36" deep at the doors. The bed sticks out 87" from the wall.
